Many of our clients needed custom designed proposals for their varied businesses. In this case, one of our accounting firm's dealership clients was planning to acquire permission from BMW to open a dealership in Tuscaloosa, MS. These types of proposals were used to showcase the dealer's strengths and growth within their current holdings in order to convince BMW to allow them to open a brand dealership.
The client wanted it to be clean and feel as upscale as the BMW brand. I built the template from scratch and the written content was provided by the client's representatives. It turned out to be one of my favorite custom proposal designs done for the firm's clientel.

It all started with the Grooms last name - Roos. Haley and Matt needed an elegant yet fun design for their wedding. The center of the concept? - a rooster! My first task was design a logo for them to use across all details for their event. A gestural, hand rendered, rooster-like form that resembled the sir-name of the groom.
Once they had settled on the logo design, I completed several other small designs and a hand lettered mirror design. Judging from the photos and praise from the bride, I feel like I captured the elegant yet quirky and youthful energy of Haley and Matt.
Hand lettered directional signage.
Laurie was a bride who knew what she wanted. When she came to me she had a plan but no idea what it should look like. Words like traditional, Southern, simple, and elegant were what she used to describe her dream wedding as it was coming to life.
We started by creating a mark or monogram that they could use as we moved forward making her save the date, invitations, and program. Simplicity and elegance were the key. The design for her invitation came to life with professional letterpress job by Mercutio Brothers.
Congratulations Laurie and Kell!

New brand concept for the annual American Heart Association's GoRed for Women fundraiser event in Chattanooga, TN for 2017. Moving away from previous years' brushy, gestural brand concepts, the "State of the Heart" for 2017 focused more on statistics of heart disease and it's effects on women. Pitched concepts were kept clean and inspired by technology.
The branding was applied to this potential ad by Creative Director, Casey Yoshida.

Are you a Hero? Or a Villain? Every spring the Chattanooga Medical Society's annual fundraiser, "Denim and Diamonds", gives the community and opportunity to have a little fun while raising funds to help save lives. Instead of a fancy ball, they host a large themed event. 2016's theme was Heroes and Villains.
One of my first big projects at Southside Creative, I was tasked with creating the brand for the event and carrying it through from logo development all the way down to signs and programs for the event.
Silhouettes of well recognized heroes and villains from comic books, film, and cartoons along with bright pops of color became the foundation of the brand. It was a new and exciting theme for the Medical Society and the event was a huge success and fun for all that attended.
The invitation was a fun print piece to create. It's unique fold was the invitees first glance at the event.

A rebrand for the Chattanooga Women's Leadership Institute's (CWLI) annual Leadership event. I chose to "refresh" the old branding of the event as opposed to reinventing the wheel for this client. A hand-done approach was taken to create the logo and CWLI's branding was inspiration for the color palette. The hand lettering was digitized and used to create posters to present to the client. Of the three directions presented to the client, this refresh was ultimately chosen. This design and look will be used moving forward for the event's designed collateral.
the logo started as a brush lettered mark, was digitized and refined.

While at SmartFurniture, I had the opportunity to work on many online promotions and projects. The "12 Days of Eames" holiday contest branding that I got to fly solo on after only a few months working at my first job.
For 12 days the website was giving away twelve products, all designed by Charles and Ray Eames. Mid-century modern furniture and modern day holiday cheer were inspiration. Once the look was finalized, the theme carried through all online deliverables - email blasts, on and off-site banner ads, landing pages, and more.
The look was reused for the next 2 holiday seasons with edits to the color palette and updates to prizes and copy.

A local dance studio decided that when it's floor wasn't being used for lessons and dancing, it was the ideal space for small gathering and parties. A sub brand was needed to market within the event community and thus "The Studio" was born.
We wanted a stand alone icon and a full classy logo that was simple.

From start to finish, working on Kati and Kevin's wedding was a unique blessing. I started working with them on their engagement shoot. Moving forward from the shoot, we used inspiration from Kati's home town of Charleston, SC as inspiration for their logo, save the date, and invitation suite. The blue crab silhouette became the foundation along with the elegance and simplicity of the bride's chosen color scheme. I also had the opportunity address the invitations with hand done calligraphy (photos to come). Many hours were put into Kati and Kevin's special day, but it was all worth it.
The invitation suite included the formal invitation, RSVP card and envelope, and accommodations card neatly wrapped with a belly band closed by a medallion featuring the logo.
