Hello There
I'm Catharine. A graphic designer currently based in Chattanooga, TN. I'm multi-disciplined designer with experience in identity design, calligraphy, editorial design, web design, and more. I've worked in a small team environment in an agency setting, as an in-house designer for a singular brand and website, and worked as a full time freelancer. I'm a designer that is all around easy to work with.
I graduated from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a BFA in Graphic Design and received the department's award for excellence within the major. I was fortunate enough to work within the Chattanooga community for many years under the best creatives in the city. I balanced my day job with personal creative work, like calligraphy and ballroom dancing, both of which turned into part-time careers. At one point, I was busy enough with these, that I was able to work for myself full time as a calligrapher, designer, creative consultant, and dance instructor. This allowed me to work on other interesting and varied projects, from emerging brands to weddings and other events.
My creative approach—no matter the medium—is to find a solution to whatever problem I face with precision and care. I love working closely with clients to learn both about them and their needs in order to find the most attractive yet functional solution for the project at hand. My love of human interaction and making connections makes the client relationship an imperative part of my process.
